It takes just a few minutes by chairlift to travel up to the Alp Languard. As well as featuring a panorama platform, the area is home to large numbers of ibex and is a veritable hiking paradise. From the terrace of the Restaurant Alp Languard there are fantastic views of the Bernina area. The Val Languard is renowned as the home of the largest colony of ibex. With binoculars and a trained eye, interesting species of birds and marmots as well as ibex can regularly be seen.
The 7-kilometer panorama trail between Muottas Muragl and Alp Languard is worth a special mention, as it is virtually level and features the charming Munt da la Bês-cha mountain restaurant half-way along. The total walking time is approximately 2 ½ hours. The path can also be walked in the other direction (Alp Languard-Muottas Muragl) but the views are not quite so attractive. It is possible to purchase a round-trip hiking ticket ("Panorama trail ticket" ascent Punt Muragl–Muottas Muragl and descent Alp Languard–Pontresina, or vice versa).

This adventure nature trail leads over the "Schafberg" mountain above Pontresina and includes 15 information boards over a distance of 9 km. These are designed to raise awareness of climate-related natural phenomena in the Alps. Focusing on rapid climate warming, the nature trail also provides information on the causes and global consequences of the greenhouse effect. The boards also indicate attempts at solutions and possibilities for action.
