At 1800 m a.s.l, the Engadin is located at an ideal training altitude. Those who train here benefit from the dry, bracing alpine climate with an average of 322 days of sunshine every year.
St. Moritz is an official training centre for the Swiss Olympic Association and has a Swiss Olympic Sport Medical Base. Many top athletes and those training to become the next generation of top athletes use the natural conditions and optimum training facilities in the Engadin for their preparations.
