Striking passes, alpine scenery close to glaciers, views of the Engadin high valley and of famous mountain ranges (Bernina, Roseg, Julier), ibex, marmots, bearded vultures and impressive geology.
Follow the signposts that guide you to Fuorcla Suvretta and then descend to the Lej Suvretta. The path leads out of the valley to the Alp Suvretta and turns into a panoramic trail down to Silvaplana. Switch to the other side of the high valley either on foot or by bus to reach Surlej from where the Corvatsch gondola takes you to Murtèl middle station. Here the trek continues on an impressive panoramic trail via Fuorcla Surlej and offers a stunning view of the Bernina massif until you reach the Chamanna Coaz.

As there is often still a lot of snow at the beginning of June and most SAC huts are no longer staffed at the end of October, the best time to complete the Bernina Trek is from the end of June to the beginning of October.
