Engadin Orchestra (Pontresina und Sils)

Musicians from La Scala in Milan, among others, kicked things off. Even master conductor Arturo Toscanini did not miss the opportunity to attend one or two concerts. Today, under the artistic direction of Dr Jürg H. Frei, soloists and members of various salon ensembles from numerous countries travel to the Engadin. In the past, the repertoire mainly consisted of salon music, but today it also includes opera and musical adaptations, jazz and contemporary music. The spa concerts enjoy unbroken popularity, which has now also reached the younger generation.

The spa concerts take place as part of the Camerata Pontresina every day in fine weather in the Taiswald forest and as Sunday concerts at the entrance to Fextal in Sils.
