Salon Orchestra Engadin

The first concerts were given by musicians from La Scala in Milan, among others. Even master conductor Arturo Toscanini did not miss the opportunity to be present at one or another concert.

Today, under the artistic direction of Dr. Jürg H. Frei, soloists and members of various salon ensembles from numerous countries travel to St. Moritz. Whereas in the past it was mainly salon music that was played, today the repertoire also includes opera and musical adaptations, jazz and contemporary music pieces. The Salon Orchestra. St. Moritz enjoys unbroken popularity, which has now also reached the younger generation.

The spa concerts take place in a central location in the Reformed Village Church of St. Moritz (pedestrian zone). The morning performances begin daily at 10.30 am and last one hour. Admission is free, but the number of seats is limited.

Other spa concerts are held daily in fine weather in the Taiswald as part of the Camerata Pontresina and as Sunday concerts at the entrance to Fextal in Sils.
