Dozens of ibex grazing right at the edge of the village, just a few metres away from you - that's something you can only experience in Pontresina. Discover the ibex colony behind the village together with local guides.

When the meadows in the valley turn green, but the snow still covers the vegetation up to the tree line, Pontresina becomes the scene for a spectacular phenomenona that can hardly be seen anywhere else: The king of the Alps descends to the edge of the village to feast on fresh grass. Directly behind teh village, dozens of ibex, stone goats, and their young graze to recharge their batteries after the long winter.
Under expert guidance, you can experience the wild animals up close and learn exciting facts about the life and behaviour of the Graubünden heraldic animal.

The group walks from the meeting point to the areas where the ibex are. The route can vary depending on where the ibex are grazing.
