Winter Hiking and Snow-Shoe Touring around Pontresina

Skiers can also hike in Winter when impossible in other locations. Pontresina boasts an incredible 150 kilometres of trails, which are maintained and freshly serviced after snowfall. No matter whether in the dreamy Stazerwald woodland, on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes or on the Philosophers' Trail on Muottas Muragl, the snow-covered landscape and the majestic mountains are a ‘balm for the soul’.

Snow-Shoe Touring around Pontresina
With snow-shoes on the feet, through freshly snow-covered woodland and to idyllic viewpoints, Pontresina provides wonderful snow-shoe routes for visitors, far away from the ‘hustle and bustle’ of day-to-day life. There are also guided tours, which can be booked directly here. Choose between a two-hour taster tour, short or day tours. Our Tip, a snow-shoe tour under the full moon.
Snow-shoe hiking without a guide is at the own risk of the visitor. We ask visitors to respect the wildlife quiet zones and to behave considerately. It is advisable to keep to the signposted routes. Wild animals should not be disturbed, otherwise they will not survive the harsh winter.
