Start the cross-country skiing winter under expert supervision: The Pontresina Cross-Country Opening stands for cross-country skiing fun, lessons in small groups and attractive additional services.
With its predestined altitude of 1800 metres above sea level, Pontresina offers the best conditions for ideal snow conditions in early winter. The first kilometres of cross-country ski trails are ready from the end of November. On the 3.3 km long and snow-covered Cuntschet circular trail, ambitious athletes and leisure cross-country skiers will find the perfect terrain for the first kilometres of the season.

Pontresina Tourism in collaboration with the local cross-country skiing partners Fähndrich Sport, Fixcoach and Bernina Sport Langlaufschule and organise this attractive offer.
Course dates
- Course 1: Saturday, November 28 to Tuesday, December 1, 2026
- Course 2: Wednesday, December 2 to Saturday, December 5, 2026
Services
- Welcome event at the Rondo Congress and Cultural Centre, Pontresina (on the day of arrival)
- Cross-country skiing lessons for beginners and advanced skiers in different ability groups
- 3x 2 hours of lessons (course 1 Sun to Tue / course 2 Thu to Sun)
- Daily stretching
- Hotel accommodation with half board in the hotel of your choice
- Supporting programme: snowshoe hike or wildlife observation
- Waxing lecture
