You will find the friendly giant in the glacier garden of the Bernina Glaciers’ Adventure Region. On the track of the Ibexe
Nowhere do ibexes feel as comfortable as in Pontresina: Around 1,800 ibexes live on Piz Albris above the legendary mountaineering village. From the end of April to the beginning of June, the ibexes even come down to the village to nibble on the fresh blades of grass along the ibex promenade.
You can get as close as possible to the ibexes on a free ibex tour. Pontresina Tourism also offers summer excursions and winter tours by prior arrangement. The leisurely hikes for young and old animal watchers last two to three hours and give you and your family group an interesting insight into the world of the Ibex. There are also all kinds of exciting things to see and hear! The Summer Excursion lasts approx. 6 hours and is suitable for more experienced hiking families.
Climb like an ibex? You can do that on the ibex playground on Alp Languard.
