Biblioteca Maloja

The Maloja library was founded by the teacher and staunch supporter of the co-operative movement Gaudenzio Giovanoli. Visitors will find numerous documents on the history of the international labour movement and the consumer cooperative movement in Bregaglia, as well as all the publications of the religious socialist Leonhard Ragaz. The public library also offers its visitors novels, science books and documentaries about Bregaglia and the Engadin, as well as art books and a special room for children's books. There are also the complete collections of the Almanacco del Grigioni Italiano, the Quaderni grigionitaliani and the Terra Grischuna. In addition to books, the Biblioteca also lends CDs, videos and DVDs.
