Morteratsch Alpine Cheese Dairy

70 years after the last cheese left Alp Nuova, the Pontresina dairy is once again producing cheese over an open fire. Guests can watch how the Heutaler or Gletschermutschli are made in the traditional way and enjoy an alpine brunch or an alpine afternoon snack in the fresh air.
Tip: The alpine cheesemaker pours the warm fresh whey into a wooden vat immediately after making the cheese. The whey bath relaxes and nourishes the skin.

Bars, concerts & Pontresina Promenade events
You should definitely round off your culinary flights of fancy with a drink. Plus, all the hotel bars and lobbies are open to the public. This also applies to the frequent bar events and concerts. Tip: During the popular promenade events, local restaurateurs regularly serve food directly on the Via Maistra. After all, Pontresina means pure alpine enjoyment from street food to fine dining.
