**Ambassador of the New Health Culture** When mindfulness is discussed in Pontresina, the name Bettina Plattner-Gerber usually comes up quite quickly. Together with her husband Richard, she opened the Hotel Maistra 160 in November 2023. They were able to secure the services of the renowned architect Gion A. Caminada for the building's design. Subsequently, the Plattners were named Hotel Entrepreneurs of the Year 2024 by the Swiss business magazine "Bilanz." Caminada was honored to accept the Swiss Arc Award with them for the Maistra 160 and for his lifetime achievement. Bettina Plattner-Gerber is not only a passionate hotelier, but has also been a long-time advocate of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). After the project planning, construction, and opening of the hotel, she would have had her hands full. Nevertheless, she and her husband developed an innovative course program. The result: the DEEP HEALTH Weeks, based on the Mind Body Medicine concept. Quality assurance of the content is carried out by the Swiss Association for Mind Body Medicine. In November 2024, the 1st Swiss Mind Body Medicine Congress took place in Pontresina, which the Plattners were able to bring to Pontresina in close collaboration with their specialist partner, the Chair of Complementary and Integrative Medicine at the University of Zurich, and the Swiss Association for Mind Body Medicine. Simultaneously, the first Mind Body Medicine Weeks were held at the Hotel Maistra 160 in Pontresina. This 4-star superior hotel offers two- to five-day courses based on scientific findings in the field of Mind Body Medicine (MBM). MBM combines scientific findings from psychology, nutritional science, and sports science with mindfulness and other proven and innovative concepts from complementary medicine. "The high alpine landscape in and around Pontresina is the ideal place to combine nature and MBM," says Bettina Plattner-Gerber.
