The Engadin Cross-Country Ski Marathon Town
Pontresina is located at the heart of the Upper Engadin and is the official Marathon venue. The Town becomes a marquee ski marathon town with sponsors and exhibitors along the Via Maistra Promenade in the run-up to the Marathon weekend. The ‘mile’ between the Culture and Congress Centre and the Plazza Bellavita becomes a ‘fair ground’, and it invites visitors to investigate and just meander around. Product presentations, advice and tests, waxing tips, tastings, souvenirs, competitions, entertainment, games and much more are available. Starting numbers can be obtained at the Congress Centre during opening hours.

Cross-Country Ski Fun Runs
The Engadin Ski Marathon is "only" the conclusion of the so-called Marathon Week. Before the actual major event, the 17 km long women's cross-country run takes place from Samedan to S-chanf.
The Engadin Cross-Country Ski Marathon can also be completed by any competitor enjoying individual flexibility. The Engadin Night Cross-Country Run takes place on the Thursday evening. The 17 km long head light spectacle leads from Sils to Pontresina as a ‘night event’. The finish is in the ‘finish’ area at Pontresina. There, competitors and spectators can relish the festive area, including musical entertainment and catering, on the conclusion of the ‘Run’.
The Finishing Area of the Engadin Half Marathon is also in Pontresina. On Marathon Sunday, spectators can watch the finish of the Engadin Half Marathon as well as the Engadin Ski Marathon, when the participants arrive at the same time. Spectators can also enjoy entertainment and public viewing. Then, there is that folk festival ‘pure’ feeling with fairground catering and other ‘hot beats’ to enjoy.
