The Pontresina Promenade

Pontresina originally developed as a simple alpine street village along the charming Via Maistra going towards the Bernina Pass. Today, this popular promenade is lined with shops, hotels and restaurants, bars, sun terraces, the ‘Museum Alpin’, a cinema, galleries and much more.
Programme Viva la Via Sommeredition
The sunny and sheltered location makes the Via Maistra a lively meeting place for strollers and discoverers, sports enthusiasts and idlers, guests and locals - especially on days when the popular "Laret Market" or another promenade happening takes place as part of "Viva la Via". The "Engadin Ski Marathon Village" and a whole series of smaller and larger events also find their vibrant home here every year. At around two kilometres, the Via Maistra Promenade is Pontresina's biggest stage. Year after year, Via Maistra invites visitors to linger, serving as an attractive shopping and dining destination as well as a hub for culture and socializing.
