Swiss stone pines and larches tower into the sky, squirrels are scampering around, songbirds are chirping, and music can be heard every now and again. The magical Taiswald Woodland and its footpaths are an atmospheric place to relax at the beginning of the Val Roseg. It is located at the edge of the Town Centre , and serves as Pontresina's Town Park, providing special nature experiences and, since 1910 concerts on a stage in the centre of the woodland.

The Swiss stone pine trail in the Taiswald Woodland provides a discovery-like tour through the woodland "Town Park" of Pontresina from spring to autumn. Visitors can explore the natural surroundings interactively with their cell phones. There are various trails to choose from depending on preferences. The "Speed Trail" starts a ‘hare and hounds’ hunt through the greenery, while the "Explore Trail" provides information about the local flora and fauna. Those who seek peace and quiet can choose the "Wellness Trail", which encourages yoga and breathing exercises at special stations along the trail.

You can start the adventure trail at any point and walk in either direction. We recommend starting with the impressive canyon skywalk at Plazza Bernina and then exploring the other exciting spots along Via da Mulin. Peer down into the depths of the gorge and experience the raw, natural power of the water. Then turn right over the Surovas bridge, where you'll enter the enchanting Taiswald, a magical forest of Swiss stone pines and larches set in a unique landscape.
