The hike leads from the Marguns ski area behind Piz Padella to Samedan.
Start at the top station of the Marguns gondola. First take the wide road into the valley to the valley station of the Glüna chairlift and continue past the Chamannna Saluver to the Fuorcla Valletta. You have reached the highest point of this hike and the "Valletta" valley spreads out in front of you, through which you descend to Alp Munt. Piz Ot towers up on the left and Piz Padella accompanies you on the right. Shortly before Alp Munt, the view of the Engadin opens up again. The descent from Alp Munt down to Samedan to the Church of San Peter is quite steep in parts.

If you want to avoid the steep descent from Alp Munt, you can hike to Alp Muntatsch and walk down the gravel road to Samedan.
