Vernissage GUIDO BASELGIA - In the eye of the light

Works from the cycles "Lungo Guardo" and "Camera Obscura Lichteinfälle" are shown in the context of the astro-physical phenomena that the artist addresses and studies in his work.

Baselgia was awarded the Central Switzerland Culture Prize in 2006, the Pontresina Municipality Culture Prize in 2016 and the Graubünden Culture Prize in 2020. His works have been honored in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including at the International Architecture Biennale in Venice, the Kunsthaus Zurich, the Museum der Moderne Salzburg and most recently in the major retrospective at the Kunsthaus Zug.

The exhibition "Guido Baselgia In the Eye of Light" is part of the joint project "Spendur et Sumbriva - Light and Shadow in the Engadin" of the association "Chesas da cultura Engiadina (Cultural Houses of the Engadin)". The association, which promotes culture in the Engadin, was founded in 2021 and consists of numerous cultural institutions from all over the Upper Engadin.
